MELANIE PROPATO
Founder & President
Melanie Propato is a lifelong resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where she resides with her husband and three children. Leveraging her extensive connections within the local educational sector and significant experience in the fashion industry, Melanie founded PB2S. She attended Central Bucks schools and gained firsthand experience sourcing educational supplies, providing her with both personal and professional insights. Melanie served for six years as Home and School President at Pennridge Schools, which strengthened her ability to build relationships that help PB2S efficiently facilitate referrals and support students in need.

Within her community, Melanie is a co-founder of the nonprofit Pennridge Improvement Project, established alongside five other women. The organization is committed to fostering an environment where every individual is valued and respected. In addition, she serves as Vice President for Perkasie Pride.

In her professional career, Melanie has held buyer positions at boutique stores in Bucks County and worked as a visual merchandiser for Louis Vuitton and other luxury brands at Neiman Marcus, King of Prussia Mall. She is currently in her twelfth year overseeing operations at PB2S.

LISA HORST
Vice President
Lisa A. Horst brings 25 years of experience supporting public and social health equity programs to advance PB2S. She has worked with international organizations including CARE and WHO to improve health equity worldwide; and won federal funding for Project GRAD USA to enhance its public-private partnerships to increase high school graduation and college admission rates in underserved communities.
In Bucks County, where Lisa and her family reside, she advocates for inclusiveness as a Patient & Family Advisory Board member of a Bucks County health system. Lisa's son is a Central Bucks student.

KENNEDY PEACE
VP of Communication
Kennedy Peace graduated from Pennridge High School and later from Hampton University. In 2020, she launched a pop-up Project Back 2 School in NYC. She actively connects with the community in North Carolina, raising awareness, building support, and dedicating herself to empowering children.
